On Thursday, the Kremlin stated that the significant fine imposed on Google carries a symbolic weight. Its purpose is to motivate the tech giant to lift restrictions on Russian YouTube channels.

As reported, Google now faces a total fine in Russia that has climbed to two undecillion roubles, a figure that surpasses the entire sum of money in existence globally.

When you write out two (2) with 36 zeros, you get the astonishing total of two decillion.

Adding 36 zeros after the two (2) results in the mind-boggling figure of two deseillion. In real numbers in Dollars: $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

This amount is actually much higher than the total global GDP, which the International Monetary Fund estimates at $110 trillion.

Although Google ranks as one of the wealthiest companies globally, this figure is much higher than its current worth of $2 trillion.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov admitted to Tass he “cannot even pronounce this number” but urged “Google management to pay attention.”

In the wake of Moscow’s military actions against Ukraine beginning in February 2022, Russia has implemented substantial fines on social media companies accused of disseminating anti-Kremlin or pro-Ukrainian content.

While YouTube is still available in Russia, authorities have repeatedly warned that they might take the platform offline because of a ban on state-owned Russian content.

In addition, Russian courts have imposed fines on Google, the owner of YouTube, to reinforce Moscow’s demands.

Since Google has not paid these fines, the total has increased significantly.

Previously, the European Court ruled in favour of UK couple, awarding £2 billion from Google.
