On iOS, WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that lets users send images and videos while preserving its original quality.
The official changelog that comes with WhatsApp’s 23.24.73 update on the App Store, as reported by WABetaInfo, states that users can now “easily send original quality photos and videos as documents”.
This additional inclusion means users can share their files “without compression or quality loss”.
To get this updated feature, iOS users will need to update their WhatsApp version to 23.24.73 from the App Store.
Aside from the ability to share original resolution media as a file, the current version of WhatsApp for iOS has a few additional enhancements. For instance, WhatsApp users may now initiate voice chats in big groups without ringing.
In order to send uncompressed files, users will need to select “Document” and then “Choose Photo or Video” to get started.
After that, they can share uncompressed media files with recipients.

According to Wabetainfo, some WhatsApp accounts will receive upgrades in the “coming weeks” if they are missing one of those features.
It also suggests “regularly updating WhatsApp from the App Store and the TestFlight app” if a user “doesn’t have them after installing this update”.
Once iOS users install WhatsApp’s latest and most recent version from the App Store, they can send original quality media as a file.
New chat bubbles enabling users to view missed, ongoing, and completed calls and react to status updates using their avatar are now being rolled out by WhatsApp.
