WHATSAPP WILL NOW ALLOW MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS ON A PHONE

The popular instant messaging platform has brought a feature that will let you add multiple accounts to a phone.

That means you will no longer need to download an unofficial version of WhatsApp to add WhatsApp account. As WhatsApp recommends not to download the unofficial version from various sources.

While downloading apps from unofficial sources can spread malware quite quickly. This also violates WhatsApp’s policies.

WhatsApp reserves the right to suspend an account either temporarily or permanently basis.

If you wish to set up a second account on your phone, you will need to have a second phone number. Also, make sure that the phone supports either multi-SIM or eSIM.

However, not very long before, I downloaded WhatsApp from unofficial sources. A user has the option to connect WhatsApp, one with a personal app and another one with a business.

As users can use both numbers in a phone. This is no longer required.

They will have a choice to add their work number and personal number in one place.

In order to add a secondary account, users will need to follow the following process:

  1. From the WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to the name
  2. Then click/tap on “Add account”
  3. You will be able to privacy and notification settings on each account
