iPhone security is generally more robust than Android security—Apple updates security in practically all versions of iOS for this purpose.
Recently, however, a man from the US state of Minnesota tricked the iPhone’s robust security system. He stole approximately USD 20 million from user accounts by obtaining iPhone passcodes in various ways.
Technology site BGR reveals that information.
To address this issue, Apple plans to include a new feature called ‘Stolen Device Protection’ in the upcoming edition of iOS.
According to Apple, the ‘Stolen Device Protection’ feature will be included in iOS 17.3.
Even if the passcode is known after the iPhone is stolen, the Apple ID cannot be altered without the user’s Face ID and fingerprint.
Also, there will be little opportunity to change the stolen iPhone’s passcode or turn off the ‘Find My iPhone’ security feature.
Because of this, the owner of the stolen iPhone can easily find the device and temporarily deactivate all of their accounts.
