Yamaha’s AI based MOTOROiD (Yamaha)

Yamaha, a renowned name in the two-wheeler industry, is set to redefine the biking experience with its latest innovation – a high-speed sports bike without a handle. This groundbreaking concept seemed unimaginable until now, but Yamaha has turned it into reality.

The Japanese company’s cutting-edge technology has given birth to a self-balancing motorcycle named the Motoroid. This engineering marvel stole the spotlight at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, attracting a large crowd of curious spectators.

The Motoroid system is a testament to the power of artificial intelligence (AI). At the heart of the bike lies the Active Mass Center Control System, which maintains the bike’s balance. The bike’s equilibrium relies entirely on this system.

A human-machine interface facilitates communication between the rider and the bike, allowing the rider to give necessary instructions to the system. The AI integrated into the motorcycle can recognise all road images, enhancing the riding experience.

The bike features an impressive system called Jin-Ki-Kanna. This system ensures that the motorcycle automatically handles actions like braking and acceleration, freeing the rider from these tasks.

The bike’s sleek design enables it to follow the self-balancing mechanism easily. The active mass control system, located in the middle of the bike, plays a crucial role. Interestingly, the bike might not have any physical lock. Instead, it will start by scanning the rider’s face using face recognition technology. Handgrips replace traditional handlebars.

Yamaha believes that this motorcycle will foster a stronger bond between the rider and the machine. The bike can even operate without a rider. As demonstrated by Yamaha, if a woman stands in front of the bike, she can independently stand up and move.

However, Yamaha has yet to disclose how one will operate it. This mystery adds to the intrigue surrounding this revolutionary motorcycle.
